Partners
Darwin is based on a powerful synergy between academia and industry. The role of the academic partners Department of Cooperative Information Systems (Johannes Kepler University Linz), and Business Informatics Group (Vienna University of Technology) is to provide the project with in-depth expert knowledge in the scientific research fields relevant for Darwin, especially comprising the areas of ontology engineering and semantic technologies, integration of heterogeneous data sources, and modeling issues.
Additionally, the project is complemented with external experts in the fields of model-driven engineering and semantic technologies, forming a scientific advisory board, namely Jordi Cabot, (École des Mines de Nantes), Dragan Gašević (Athabasca University), and Steffen Staab (University of Koblenz-Landau).
Together with the industrial partner LieberLieber Software GmbH, and our demonstrators JoinVision E-Services GmbH and Team Communication Technology Management GmbH, possessing extensive experience in the area of model-driven software development, and providing the demonstration facilities for the Darwin prototype, the conceptualisation of Darwin and its prototypical implementation of a semi-automated co-evolution system will be realized.
